About us
"What you eat every day has a story most people never hear. Lives transformed. Lives that continue to struggle. Farmers, fields, and food systems the world depends on but rarely sees. Agree sa Agri goes there — so you can see, hear, taste, and experience what has always been there, waiting to be told."
The Mission
Mission
Agree sa Agri was born from the Philippines — to share knowledge, inspiration, and opportunities. To inspire, educate, and empower. Not only farmers but the young generation choosing agriculture as their path.
Mission
Agree sa Agri tells these stories in Filipino — for the communities living them. To share knowledge, inspiration, and opportunity with the people who need it most. Because the stories of farmers transforming their lives, feeding communities, and building futures deserve to be heard."
- Jay Dimapilis: The Master of the Craft
The Foundation: Narrative & Movement
Jay's journey began on the stage. As a Communications Arts graduate, he founded Tanglaw Teatro Eksperimental, serving as both the resident playwright and experimental dance choreographer. This dual mastery of original writing and the "geometry of movement" became the foundation for his cinematic style. In 2001, at the age of 21, he transitioned into the technical world of video editing—working as a student editor for Advertising and Film majors, sharpening his eye for the frame and rhythm while most of his peers were just beginning to understand the craft.
The Global Journey
For over 22 years, Jay has shaped high-stakes narratives across the Philippines, the Middle East, and Singapore. His career is marked by international breadth—spanning 3 months in Hong Kong, 14 months in Doha, Qatar, and 11 years in Singapore's global media hub. It was in Singapore where he debuted as a Director for the award-winning TV show The Super Seniors on Starhub.
As a seasoned editor and director, Jay has been the invisible hand behind stories commissioned by BBC, National Geographic, Channel News Asia, History Channel, Euronews, Disney, and Nickelodeon. His commercial expertise was forged within global powerhouses like McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey, and Publicis. His documentary work reached the pinnacle of industry recognition when he was featured in the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards Winners Gallery (Finalist Certificate, Jasa Aktivis - Acid Victim) for excellence in documentary storytelling.
The 2020 Transition: The One-Man Army
In 2020, during the global pandemic, Jay returned to his experimental roots. He picked up a camera and started vlogging, testing seven different niches under his YouTube channel, Sparx TV. In the beginning, he was a one-man army: armed with a camera, a drone, and a tripod, he handled the research, traveling, hosting, filming, and late-night editing alone. Two years of relentless testing led to a singular clarity. In May 2022, he rebranded to Agree sa Agri—one channel, one focus, one mission.
That solo hustle gradually evolved into a professional team. What started as a tripod in the mud has grown into a small digital media company and marketing agency. Today, the brand has exploded to over 1 million Facebook followers and 335,000+ YouTube subscribers, becoming one of the most impactful agricultural media brands in the Philippines. To date, his work has featured over 340 farms, documenting the grit and success of agricultural life across the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The Next Chapter
Agree sa Agri continues to grow as the home base of the mission. Jay continues to bring the same instincts, the same award-winning craft, and a lifetime of mastery to the Filipino audience that started it all. He continues to explore untold agricultural stories—told with the precision of a seasoned director and the soul of a playwright.
Produced by Sparxone
"Agree sa Agri" is produced by Sparxone — a digital media and production company founded in October 2019. Visit sparxone.io. When the pandemic hit, Sparxone went dormant. Its founder Jay Dimapilis picked up a camera and started vlogging — not knowing he was quietly rebuilding what he had paused. Agree sa Agri was born. Then grew. Then crossed a million followers.
Sparxone is waking up — in the form of media brands. Agree sa Agri, the original Filipino agricultural brand. Agree to Agriculture, its global English counterpart. The production house didn't disappear. It transformed.
